Lambe Oil, approaching 53 years in business, is the leading distributor of energy products in the Midlands; territories include Offaly, Laois, Kildare, Westmeath. We supply and deliver home heating oil, commercial fuel, HVO and Agri fuel 6 days a week, Monday – Saturday. We also operate 2 busy forecourts, alongside a retail offering. Job Description
To safely, professionally, and promptly load, transport, and deliver energy products in compliance with company and legal standards. This role also involves collecting customer payments and accurately completing truck and maintenance paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
Safety:
- Prioritise the safety of employees, contractors, customers, and others.
- Continuously improve our safety culture, systems, and practices.
Customer Service:
- Treat all customers with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide safe and professional service according to company delivery procedures.
- Maintain good relationships with existing customers.
- Promote company services and products.
- Identify and communicate sales opportunities to the Depot/Sales Team.
Vehicle Management:
- Drive safely and courteously, adhering to road legislation and company policies.
- Ensure proper care and use of company vehicles and equipment.
- Report vehicle defects immediately.
- Drive efficiently to maintain high road safety standards.
Loading and Delivery:
- Load/unload vehicles safely, following company procedures and legal standards.
- Deliver fuel safely and efficiently, with environmental care.
- Plan delivery routes and load distribution.
- Report spills immediately and follow company containment procedures.
Administration:
- Complete daily stock reconciliation.
- Maintain and submit delivery dockets daily.
- Complete daily and weekly vehicle checklists.
- Adhere to guidelines in the Company Drivers Handbook.
- Prepare detailed incident reports as required.
Other Duties:
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety information.
- Prevent loss or damage to goods or property.
- Participate in company training and awareness programs.
Core Requirements:
- Valid HGV Licence with minimum category C
- Driver CPC Qualification
- Driver ADR Qualification
- Driver’s tachograph card
- Ability to work independently
- Basic computer literacy
